The Extreme Basics

I can't even understand the basic concepts of skinning. Every tutorial I find at least one step above my skills.

Can someone recommend an extremely basic tut for me? Preferrably one that can teach me how skins work.

alright, you get wc3 viewer from this site's tools, you get image extractor, you get warcraft 3 and you get Photoshop (7+ preferably)...

then you open your image extractor, find the image you want, extract as tga, open in photoshop, skin it, save it, open image extractor again and save as blp, put it in game and wala..
