Some stuff

Starting today, WoW models will not be accepted unless they are properly optimized for Warcraft 3. That means poly count reduced as much as possible, needless geosets and animations removed, and particle emitters (if any) re-added.

On a light note, here is a funny Warcraft fighting game (flash game):

Seems to be a reasonable reaction. Everytime I got here, I saw "12 New Models", I looked at them in "detailed" view: "Converted from WOW, Converted from WOW, Converted from WOW..."

Is there an easy solution to convert models from WOW to Warcraft III? Are there even any differents between the formats? Because if it's so easy as the WOW model count makes to think, someone should post a tutorial so that everybody who has WOW can do it himself and you can save some webspace. :D

It doesnt mean you wont be getting them, it just means people, like CrazyNutter, who actually optimize their converted models, will be the ones extracting them for you.

As for the tutorial, keep in mind that not everyone has WoW. Some people might rely have access only to the WoW models that are posted.

Request any requests you have in the WoW Model request thread, or just in the request forum. Though please, post a picture or a good description, saying just a name will not help anyone.

Though please note, im not some cyborg who has tons of time to covert huge models with hundreds of animations.
If possible, can someone lock the current WoW Models request thread, and I will make a new one with guidelines. The current one was made by Linera.

Well, youn can always make your own request thread, (i.e. "CrazyNutter's WoW model request thread") and set your own guidelines within it.

Ok, just set it up.

Hope no one finds the guidelines to strict.
