i heard you cant model for wc3 with 3ds max 8.....why not??this is the version i just got....istn going down a version a bad thing?

You can't even use Max 7 for WC modelling

Mostly going down a version is bad, however in some versions things might be changed and different functions added or changed, thus if you go up a version, older things which might have worked perfectly won't work anymore. Which is what happaned to every single Max WC3 exporter

so what version should i get now???i cant make models from sraath now casue i suck but i wanna edit the wc3 for now. Ver 4?5?6?

If you just want to edit just use the Oinkertools and Magos' editor

But if you want to use Max you need versions 4 or 5 to use the art tools, or 6 to use the Dex Script
