Why won't my custom minimap show up?

war3mappreview.tga image has to be a 128x128 or 256x256 .tga image

If your file is a .tga you don't have to make the path war3mapPreview.blp. but war3mapPreview.tga

Also make sure it's a 128x128 or 256x256 image.

I think it won't work as blp at all, I remember trying out that but I didn't succeed. Oh, and I think it's spelled "war3mappreview.tga" without capital letters.

oh ok, my wc3 NL editor auto-converted it to blp. I'll tell it not to 0_0
