No, he said it the right way. How are you suppose to correlate the riddle to anything? It was pretty easy to solve, but the way you would say it leaves people guessing.
The one you just gave isn't technically a riddle either. Riddles are meant to be guessed at, but rather state a scenario and give clues to solving it. Without clues, it is more of a see who can guess the most accurately game based on nothing.
