Q.What do you save edited skins as?
A.You save the edited skin as TGA format. If the program you use cannot do this, than download gimp.(google it)
Q.How do I use skins?
A.To use a skin, you must first make sure it is converted correctly into BLP format. To do this use any of the conversion tools on the site. Accepted
1. Nice Copy and Paste, meaning hard to notice that it is CnP.
2. Nice recolors, meaning the shadeing is redone and the recolor looks as if it was that color to begin with.
3. Freehand skins that have had time spent on them. Longer than 30mins.
4. Skins which have 512x512 resolution or lower. Skin which higher resolutions than that will be deleted. No one will see such a detail while in game. Unless it is a cinematic skin.
5. Skin with at least 50% of the entire skin edited. It means 50% of the skin or more was changed from the original skin. Skin with less than such (less than 50%) will be deleted, unless it looks really good and worthy as a resource.

Not Accepted
1. Copy and Paste that is easily noticed.
2. Stolen skins, without evidence that the author is letting you upload his/her skin.
I'll give you an exception if you significantly edit and give the original author a credit, eventhough you don't have any permission.
But if the original author doesn't want his skin to be edited, he can ask any of the skin mods to delete that skin and we will delete it.
3. Crappy paint attempts.
4. Skins without proper shading.
5. Really stupid Skins.
6. Poorly recolored.
7. Already existent WAR3 skins.

Skin Categories
Bloodelves: This section is what you most likely will post in since the default is the Bloodelf category. We suggest you make sure you move it to the correct category. This is of course unless it fits into the Bloodelf category. Skins of this section include: Any units that resemble the wc3 race of the Bloodelves or a skin over of a Bloodelf wc3 or custom model. Highelves are also acceptable in this section. if you are going to post any darkelf skins, i suggest you move it to nightelf or miscelaneous.
Buildings: This includes structures of any race. This may also include doodads or resources(trees, gold mines)
Burning Leigon: this includes demons, felbeasts, felgaurds, eredar warlocks, ect. anything that would seem out of hell would be suitable here.
Creeps: these include skins that could resemble and of the wc3 creeps or skin overs of wc3 creep models. If you are unsure whether or not your unit is a creep, check the Wc3viewer or the World Editor.
Dragons: It's unlikely that you will post many skins here. dragons include skins that resemble a dragon theme or a reskin of a dragon wc3 or custom model.
Dwarves: short guys with big beards; I think you get he point. Gnomes are also acceptable in this section.
Goblins: Even shorter guys with green skin. Any skin resembling a goblin theme; this includes the goblin characters or the goblin machines. Also reskins of goblin models are acctable here.
Humans: This pretty much covers a wide variety of skins. This includes skins that resemble, well.....humans. If you were to reskin a Demon humter to look like a human, that would be acceptable in this section.
Insomnia Graphics: you will have a 99.9% chace of not posting skins here. All of the skins for the insomnia graphics skins have already been completed. These skins all resemble an undeadish theme. Dont put skins in this category if you dont want to be warned.
Miscelaneous: If your skin doesnt belong to any other section, then post it here. Dont worry, it's safe.
Model-skins: I dont suggest you post model-skins, as they prevent proper critique by not allowing the public to easily view the UV unwrap. I do suggest this however if the model has multiple skins. Model-skins are uploaded as models originally, so the model is downloaded with it. The main purpose this serves is if you want the same model to use multiple skins or if the model uses more than 1 skin.
Naga: This section uncludes any skin of the wc3 naga race, or skins that resemble it. It may also unclude sea creatures in general since it is very closely realted.
Nerubians: spider-people; skins of the nerubian creatures or skins that resemble a nerubian theme.
Night-elves: any reskin of a nightelf unit, or a skin to give a unit a nightelf theme. This includes nightelves themselves, ancients, chimera's or any other nightelf creature. Dark elves are also acceptable here.
Orcs: big green guys. Orc unit skins or orc-themed skins. orc creatures are also acceptable in this section such as kodo beasts, trolls, and wyverns.
Starcraft: any skin with a theme directly related to starcraft or starcraft ghost, any starwars, or general space-themed skins should go into the misc section.
Tilesets: any skins that change the tileset if the map. Various terrian-based skins are accepted, such as cliffs, water, and blight.
Undead: anything rotting and without a soul. Skins with a dark theme are also accepted here, such as a vampire, werewolf, or a horror-based skin.
Director's choice: sorry, but only Leopard, Sansui and I can decide whether skins belong here. These skins include the best of the site; or at least skins that we think are really good.
