get a tavern replace the thing that they sole with all your hero that you want to sell and now go to object editor and click on unit then go to your custom hero and click on him and scroll down until you see stock-max or something and now put it to 1 so when you put him in to the tavern you can pick him if you dont put that it will say "out of stock" i heavnt tested it yet so i dont really hope that fix your problem.
