plural for barracks

plural for barracks

i first translated barracks, and in dutch barracks alrdy is in plural, and barrack isnt. bu why the building is called barracks? and if its rly called like that, then what is the plural of barracks?

Barracks is its own plural to my knowledge. Its like sheep and sheep

Barrack is the singular; it's a lodge within the barracks. If you see what I mean.

So barracks is already plural. Unless you want to build a single barrack somewhere... The mind boggles.

so barrack is a part of the barracks that can be build with wc3 then. but how do u call it when u have for example 3 of those. it will be a double plural.. or sumthing cuz if u say 3 barracks, u mean the three barrack, not three barracks. lol this confuses me

Just say barracks all the time, I think. I reckon the term barracks can apply as much to a group of buildings containing barracks as a single building containing barracks... *RDZ's head falls off*

yea its always plural, but barracks is harder though, cuz it contains barrack's' , but u dont call one shirt a shirts, cuz it contains shirt's'... k just stop, its just always plural

A single barrack is a single lodging; might be a little one-room/dorm hut or tent.

In Warcraft, the barracks contains many lodgings... So if you had an area with lots of barracks, it's still just barracks.

Something like that.

Trousers, well, you have a pair of them; one for each leg. So you're never going to be talking about a single trouser, because that would be just silly...
