Oh, they're not that matriarchal

They tend to have a single Queen Nerubian, who's very powerful and tends to be about 30 feet tall, but Azjol'Nerub had a king, Anub'Arak, and most other communities had a group of Spiderlords who ruled over

The Nerubians openly praise the queen and other egglaying females when they lay eggs, but aside from that they don't really care. The queens tend to hold ancestrial knowledge as well, but if a council of Spiderlords deems it necessary to get rid of a queen, then they will do it

Crypt Lords are undead Spider Lords. The Spider Lords were the best and brightest of the Nerubians, and served as a government of sorts. The Queens were the essential rulers, however their judgement could be overruled by the Spider Lords

Azjol'Nerub was odd because it had a king as well as a queen, namely Anub'Arak

They seem to look a bit like ants, but act more like spiders.

Isnt one of there sound files saying "For the Spider Kingdom", or am i confusing em with something else.

If anything they are a evolutionary branch of the Quiraji. By the way... why hasn't anyone added that world of warcraft Crypt Lord model to the model database?

And no, they're not an evolutionary branch of the Quiraj. They're a branch of the Aqir, the other branch lead to the Silithid and the Quiraj. Nerubians and Quiraj have no connection between each other, other than having a common descendent, the Aqir
