IS powerlevling cheating ?

I have asked a number of my friends who play WoW and other online games and I have got response ranging from (It's ok if you have a 60) to (Who whants to wait till, 60 all the fun stuff starts then)

Do you think this is cheating?

PS: also what about buying acounts and Gold

i think buying accounts isnt rly cheating, but damn stupid.. paying real money for virtual gold or a character  its kinda cheating cuz he suddenly got a high lvl character, but no1 will notice, cuz somewhere else, that same lvl character is gone

Gold buying violates the EULA.

Buying accounts violates the EULA.

Powerlevelng does and does not violates the EULA. Properly speaking, if the service is based on real life commercialism, then it's a violation.

Unfortunately, everyone gets away with it.

Basically, I just want to reiterate what Seagull said

Also, buying accounts and powerleveling is stupid because you don't learn the skills you should use through leveling

look

i was looking on google for WoW for maps and I happen to see on the site many things saying buy acounts.. etc and I thought I would look many of the acounts were atleast 400$ !!! and I decided to check back and see if any one had bought them and I think one person bought a rogue at 60 so I decided to check a power leveling site and it is mostly only 200$ for a 1-60 and 500g and a mount I do not understand why any one would spen 400$ when they can get it cheap or do it themselves. sry for long post :!:

I dont think of it as technically cheating. However, people whome I've played with who had their character power leveled really did not know how to play their class. People need the experience of leveling up and doing the instances.

yet thousands of people manage to get to 60 with no grasp of their class, its amazing how easymode mmo's breed high level noobs :)
oh and try to be a little less ambigous please
powerleveling yourself is vastly different to buying powerleveling in terms of "nethics"

technically its not but its stupid to waste money on that.
o and if you want to see outrageous prices on characters try e-bay. i saw an epic gear lvl 60 for $1200!!!!!

Techically it IS bad. Its illegal and stupid
#10
It's not really "illegal", but it is frowned upon by most players.

I dont see the point why its unfair... so what, if people like to sell their stuff cause they stopped playing and someone likes to buy... who cares anyway, no one will see any problems cause of it... i dont care if some nerd buys some account on ebay, if they want to have a nice char, let them

I think its cheating, from my point of view. I see where they're going, nobody wants to wait for 60, epics, and the like. But also getting there is half the fun
