acquisition range + range

i have a trebuchet in my map with 0 acquisition range (dont want it to shoot by it self, so he wont detect any enemy if acquisition range is 0 right? and normal range to 15000. but now in-game its range is 1600.. why?

thnx

If you dont want unit to engage enemy, just give it worker (builder...that witch have peons and others) and it will be pasive until you give it attack order.

you can actually quantitatively measure the diff from 1500 to 1600 with attack range? i can barely do that with AoE targeting circle things...

actually with the spellcasting cirlces you know a stuff a little bit outside of the circle gets affected anyways? could be something like that

nono, 15000. u missed a little zero 8) but i think alvatar's way is good. i do want to know the calculation of those 2 ranges together though

>_> 15000... oh
maybe it's a maximum range thing?
also with the worker thing it will count it as a worker so when you hit ` it may take you to an idle trebuchet

oww yes.. idle workers :? i rly need the calculation then. it isnt max range btw, i looked in gameplay constants
