Please help me, I studied a model of the warden and looked at the cape animation but have no clue how to make one from scratch for myself. I don't know how to use thier dummy objects or mesh objects which somehow move the cape. If you know how they do it or a better way of doing it please tell me asap. Any help would be appreciated.
If you want to use mesh from another model to yours this can't be done.If you want to make a copy of that animation you must view the bone name(Joint ponts)of the head part of the Warden.Just save the two models as MDL then open it whit nodepad or something and look for the bone names. You must find what is the name of the bone of the cape then copy it and paste it to your model. Then use the animation translate program. If this don't work try to exchange all bone names of the Warden whit the bone names of your model.
This is all that I know about this situation.I hope this will help you.
Well the only way to make your own animation is to use some kind of 3d art program. For example Milkshape 3d.After you make your model you must place some joints on it.Begining from the head trough shouders,arms,torso,legs.. it must looks like a skeleton. Then use then atach the hands, legs and eny other part of your model to the correct joint. Then you must use the keyframer and set up your animation. But you cannot import mdx file like the Warden in Milkshape.Only exporting.
