hero maximum level

my hero won't go paste 199 even though i set the max level to 1000. is 199 the level cap hard-coded by blizzard?

Mergh...

Nope, i've had a level 10000 hero before. I don't know what's wrong. Check the XP tables as well and make sure you haven't altered the xp gain per level.

PLEASE tell me that you're kidding. PLEASE.if you really aren't, and i sincerely hope you are, Advanced -> Gameplay Constants -> Hero Maximum Level. check the box for Use Custom Gameplay Constants at the top. if this isn't in a tutorial a lot of ppl deserve to be slapped. and i'm pretty sure it's in tutorials.
