My Map: World of Dragon Ball Z [b]ONLINE[/b]

Okey have fun Wulf. Now can we get back on topic? How come everyone can fucking participate in this flamewar, but no one can give me feedback on the map?

Alrighty I got some questions for ya eggie even though your just gonna answer them from the top of your head...

So your just pretty much gonna be fighting creeps that can't kill you and level up and thats your defination of free mode correct? And theres the sagas you can participate in, and sidequests and what not. Now what happens if a player doesnt want to participate in the sagas? Because hes too busy wandering off, getting lost, or lagging in a 480x480 map? What happens if your Goku and you wanted to screw the game up and die to Vegeta in the Saiyan duel in saiyan saga?

Do you need all the players in game to be able to play the map right?

What happens if your in mid game and suddenly the host decides to leave and all the players lag up and get disconnected? And all your game progress just ends?

Do you think people have the time to play a map that requires hours upon hours to beat?

well we need some updates on this map xD

Anyways, well you can't get lost, because there's always a pinging spot on the map to tell you where you must go. Plus your character can teleport short ranged to a spot, so it can help if you wanna get somewhere fast. If a player doesn't wanna participate in a saga, then he doesn't wanna participate yet. But the story won't continue until he does, so his teammates will just have to wait. When you die in the saiyan saga or any saga for that matter, you go to King Yemma's office y'see to get back you gotta follow the steps to revive (check the FAQ) then you'll be back at THAT POINT in the saga (unless it's been completed).

You don't need all players, which is good because it let's you test out the map. Everyone will be granted control if ANYONE leaves. They will have control over that specific player that left. It let's you play it in single player too! But the only problem is, any messages/optional objective messages for that player will not be displayed to anyone but that player, but of course the player has left so nobody will always know what to do except people that have played that character.

Well people get disconnected and it's annoying, but I don't have any ideas on what should be done about that . . . maybe someone could give me some ideas?

Yes I think people do have time to play it. If they don't wanna join the game, then they won't join. Btw the map won't be HOURS and HOURS lol.

And about the west city...
Its just too simple dude... Just placing buildings all together like that and just tinting the colors is so last year... Its reptitive and boring.

And if your such a "DBZ Geek" then you'll know that King Yemma only judges whether you go to Heaven or Hell.

Well Ghost I don't know if you read about Sense Fields or not in my map FAQ. I'll tell ya anyway.

So basically there are tons of places to explore on Namek or Earth. What happens is, in each area/stage w/e you wanna call it, there is a single beam of light. It looks like this.

When you enter that beam of light, (a region) you will be transported to the "Sense Field". A Sense Field is a bunch of terrain and small scaled doodads put together to form a diagram of a replica of the massive world of earth or Namek (depending on what you are on, you can only visit Namek in certain parts of a saga). And there's a unit which is you, and there's fade filters, fog and what not for that specific player (yes I know how to do fogs and filters for specific players) and it looks like you're in a large map of the world and your guy looks like he's sensing and using his powers to teleport from place to place. When on the Sense Field you move your guy around on it and move to the place on the diagram, say "Grandpa Gohan's House". When you hover over it you'll recieve an ability called, "Land On" . . . and it'll say something different depending on where you wanna land. Click and voila a bunch o effects and you're at the place you choose. Btw when you use a Sense Field it lowers your fatigue a bit which is represented by Lumber so there are some penalties.

EDIT: Just deleted the King Yemma line up triggers and I'm remaking West City from scratch. Expect some more screenshots SOOOON.

Well this here is Dead Namek. You fight here against Frieza slowly as Namek demises due to his energy and power.

I've reworked the Plains area a lot! I know it's kinda un-populated with not many doodads and stuff, but that's what plains look like in DBZ. This is just a starting pic of the plains, later I'll add crops and more doodads, expect some more pics of that later!

This is the Islands area. It's quite tropical I know, but that's the way it looks in the show. This is where 17 and Piccolo will fight, but where Cell absorbs 18 and fights Vegeta and Trunks, will be a different area called Archipalego.

So its pretty much just like my World Map idea huh? Even the whole Land On ability when you get close to the area...

But instead of the whole crappy idea of a fatigue thing which has nothing to do with DBZ... I just placed the World Map Circle in "Safe Areas" on the area like Jingle Town at the Snow Area.

And you keep on posting screenshots... of simple areas that has absolutely no "holy crap howd he do that" feel to it.

Also... Hell/HFIL in DBZ never had fire in it dude...
are you sure that your a DBZ Geek? Because thats twice now that you messed up on the whole DBZ Realism thing that your trying to do.

And is that a custom grass tile?
Also it seems to me that your just rushing to do the terrain and once you make something you just post it right away even though it has absolutely no appeal to it.

Currently I have 11173 doodads in my map and each one has a purpose to the terrain not just click click.

And I'm not trying to be a jackass to you but really man I'm just telling you the plain old truth.

And Eggie I wasn't talking about your map of tribute trampling all over it... I was talking to Electricsaiyan's map "DBZ Apocolypse" which is just an unoriginal clone of rampage/tribute and brings nothing new besides his beam system but thats pretty much it.

And Electricsaiyan do you feel Envy towards me? Because thats pretty much what I'm feeling from you dude... And yeah my map wouldn't be what it is without Panther who stood besides me for more than 2 years now I think. And Mobking who is an amazing spell maker I thank them dearly for there help. And prolly alot people feel that I'll never finish my map and its all just a fake, but really now... I've been working on this project for 2 1/2 years now and the whole map has been remaked 3 times and each spot on the map remaked at least 5 times.

And the reason why I named the map DBZ: Evolution because thats what it really is, an evolution.

I mean if you compare the minimap and pics from that Super DBZ All Sagas V3 topic that I made on here to the pics on my forums you would know what I mean by Evolution.
