Race Contest 2
A really cool contest a while ago was the race contest, where you had to create a custom race.The contest is over, but I had the idea of starting a new contest.
Here goes:

November 11th-Changed the deadline to December 5th to give more time to troubleshoot and perfect.
Contest Rules:
You must create a new race. It can be any race as long as it's not in the main Warcraft techtree, e.g. no humans, orcs, undead, night elves. Warcraft 3 models are ok.
-You can work in a team with others
-You must make a techtree for your race, including:
-at least 3 heroes(preferably 4)
-worker units
-ground and air units
-custom spells and abilities.
-You don't have to create custom models for the race, but that would be cool.
-The race must be playable in multiplayer
-All races must be submitted by December 5th.
-The winning races will be combined into a wc3search 2006 race mod. I hope to continue this next year, but giving the whole year as time.
The races will be voted on in a poll, which will stay open for a month. The top four will be made into a mod, and will be distributed, with huge credit to the top four, and credit to the other participants.
To sum it up:
Any new race is fair game, but it needs to be new. No copying stuff other than models from the main races. Make it original, and be done by November 10th. When you're done, post here with a link to a map that has your race in it. On November 10th, a poll will open with links to the races and a vote on which one you like the most. The top four will be made into a mod. Good Luck!
