i also heard that before he died, he pulled out the barb(sting ray spike/stinger) from hes heart, that thing is bloody serrated, but of sliced hes insides and chewed up hes heart.
It depends where it hit him. Must have slipped through the Sturnum and Ribcage. Bastard.
For awhile, a week, actually, I was really depressed about this. Steve was, and still is, a personal hero to me. He was so enthusiastic, so loving to his animals. He was a conservationist, and family man. It was like I knew him, yet never met him, yet I always wanted to take a trip to Australia and meet him. He always seemed like a great man, a famous guy who is at the same level of the common folk. I feel stupid, though, I feel like an over-emotional jackass. I had tears rolling down my eyes the second day of his death, I was shocked and I was severley despressed. I can't imagine how his wife and kids are.
And for the record, that man could NEVER be killed by a croc, he knows them all to well. He was truely a master Croc handler. He has been bitten, mauled, gored, and so on, and he still loves his animals, a true hero. My condolences go out to his family.
