my version of 3dsmax opens .max files....not 3ds file....very grr.....anyone got any suggestions or solutions?

could you get this to me too? ive been trying to export models using dex script and import/exportmdx but i cant export files with them

i think aim or msn has a way to transfer files.. not sure.
