Alliance Properties

Ive noticed in sum games, you can ally and trade resources through the f11 menu instead of typing to ally. In most games, the f11 is locked and the only feature it provides is resoucring trading and to see which players have left and etc. So i was wondering if sum1 knew how to unlock the f11 ally boxes instead of using commands to ally and share vision.

The ally boxes are unlocked by default, but it's not enabled in the game unless there's at least 2 humans playing that map. To "unlock it" just put more than one human player on the same force, in the force properties, and then click the "allied" button.

That should work. I couldn't test it since I have no friends around to play wc3 with right now. Someone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

players dont have to be allied, but Fixed Player Settings must be off

"Fixed player settings" needs to be off? Oh right, you can't ally or unally if it's on because the settings are fixed. I forgot about that ^_^;

But, you can still trade resources with fixed player settings right?

Yeah. It's just a few maps set the gameplay constants for trading resources to 0 per click, therefore "disabling" it.
