Whitefoxeveryone is convinced it takes hours or days and a very long process to do this but your using old fashion tools and ways.. my advice learn to script.
2 Steps to model extracting: 1. use the program i use to view and edit the model (less than 10 seconds) 2. convert the model from .obj ,.3ds .ms3ds or w/e etc into .mdx your set
less than 1 minute per model and +time to add equipement / find it . and if i could not locate a model
And mecheon on efficientcy the speed does suck balls and its not open for the public but for the efficientcy im talking about 1. it doesnt risk getting deleted 2. other sites wont accept WoW models 3. unlimited server space (unlike darky)
about 4 models were alreayd posted but i extracted them anyway Btw i am a he
If you just take the models straight from WoW, they must be reeeeeeeally high poly... And BTW, what is this said magical program of much wonder and merriment? --donut3.5--
Just extracting the model and converting it is the first and easiest step.
After that you need to locate all the skin parts and put them all together in a single skin (this might take hours depending on how easy it is to find the parts).
After that you might want to remove 90(or is it even more?) of the unnecessary geoset to get the model you want(that would give you something like 10 geosets left).
And after that you will need to remove like 120 unnecessary animation which might take hours depending on what tool and requirements you have. Ive seen that people use MagosModelEditor for this which is really stupid as it only remove the sequence(the name) and not the animation itself. I'm currently using Oinkerwinker Animation Remover which just deletes it all. Takes alot more time but you get an much better result in size.
Anyway, after you are done with all this, you might want to put on some shoulders and helmets, this is quite easy and doesnt take nearly as much time as the rest of the model.
And finally you might want to shrink/optimize the files.
I usually get my charactermodels to somewhere within 100-300kb(including skin)
lol apparently some people dont get the point... yes i do convert it but i can remove a mass of animation with the click of a button the geosets are automatically removed unless neccesary for the model to operate. why would i have to find the textures and then attach the items............ i put the items on and it attachs itself to the model and the skin the skin is exported with the model and a backup of the model is put into a .eq file.. o and btw theres really not that many animations thats mostly for the really complex models. the point is i can get everything needed really quick but for now i need to fix my converter becuase its only converting half the body and incomplete segments...

Im amazed how some people are ready to do even 30 models requests. I guess they would do many requests only if they will need them as well. Hmm well enjoy WoW-ers
