To Mycklern: if u ppl dont like the opposite sex, then that would meen you'd be homo sexual, right? so if ur not homo, then stop makin sexist remarks n stuff. n if u r, well then plz stop anyway.

lol... i could scare everyone with a pic of my brother...
EDIT - hey, i never thought of that! if they think females are lower than males, theyre gay! although that might not apply to certain times back in the thirties and forties, and places like iraq...

Females > Males

Want proof?

Velociraptors: Ruled by one female
Spiders: Female is dominant and larger. Likely to kill male after eating
Bees/Wasps/Termites/Ants/Other colony insects: EVERYTHING in colony is female, except for the occaisonal male that mates with the queen. Males kicked out after mating with queen
Lions: Sure the pride is ruled by a male, but the male is a lazy bum who just sits there all day. Females do all the hunting

So as you can see, you damn sexist asshole, females have quite a firm greatness over males. Which sorta sucks, yes. But if it can destroy the opinions of sexist freaks like you Mycklern, then I'm all for it

And I'll say it again: Yes, I am a male
#113
What about the other millions of animals then?
#114
Well i doubt velociraptors are ruled by female ones. Velociraptors (with all the dinosaurs) used to be reptiles.
In case of all reptiles the males are bigger, stronger and more colorful ( :) ).

And about insects: sure that most of them in a colony is female but they are all workers (except the queen - but it would be a bit hard if it weren't). Male ones are usually in a higher rank than females in case of insects making colonies. For instance the male ants are more evolved than females: they even have wings (not joking!).

So after all of these i wouldn't say females are better. Nor do i say that males are the better. NONE of them is better than the other. And it is a very bad idea to look at the animal world to decide that human males or females are the better.
Males and females are both good, but in other aspects of life. They are not comparable. None of them could live without the other one.

You're asking for it...

I'll give you a small selection from the various animal families to show that females are either equal to, or greater than, males

Chelicerata: (Spiders, Scorpians, Horseshoe Crabs, Sea Spiders, etc.) In spiders, female is often bigger than male. Male is likely to be killed by female after/before mating. In scorpions, the female takes care of the young while they grow, but the male is probably off dead somewhere. In Horseshoe crabs and sea spiders, male and female have no difference between them

Uniramia: (Insects, Millipedes, Centipedes, etc.) Insects within colonies are ruled over by a single female, and are often made up of many infertile females and one fertile one. Males in these colonies are just used to mate with, before being sent out to die. Most other insects, along with Centipedes and Milipedes, have no distintion between male and female, with the only coming together of them during mating

Crustacea: (Lobsters, crabs, barnicles, etc.) No difference between male and female behaviour

Cnidarians: (Jellyfish, Coral, etc.) No difference between male and female, mainly because most of these things don't even have genders. I'm pretty sure that they're capable of switching gender...

Blargh, lets skip birds, bacteria, reptiles, amphibians and other non-mammals, its more of the same @_@

Anywho, mammals.

Anything thats not a feline or primate: Females and males do exactly the same

Felines: Most are solitary, lions are the only ones in groups

Primates, Lesser: Lesser primates are mostly solitary, with females and males generaly doing the same. Obviously the female cares for the child, as with most creatures

Primates, Greater: Here's where we come to the exceptions. The "great apes" include humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, oranutangs and pygmy chimpazees.

Orangutangs are solitary

Gorillias are in tribes ruled by a single "Silverback" male. The male is generaly the most powerful in the group, but there are a few other males in the group.

Chimpanzees (Both types) are in groups ruled by one or two males, with the rest of the group being made up from lesser males and females

Humans should technicaly have no difference between male and female, however the stupid dumbasses from the Dark Ages got it through their heads that the males were greater than the females. Before then, males and females were equal

So as you can see, most of the animal kingdom has males and females at either a pretty equal status. More than half of the animal kingdom are insects, and they are either ruled by a single female, or the males and females are equal

You know, the most evolved animals and the smartest, Do you know what I'm talking about? The Mammals. Right know i can't figure out any mammal wich have a Female leader. Just look at the Primates, the equals of the human race. Who is leader there? Yes, male are!
#117
yea, but they dont have air freshner to spray in guys faces!! and, being a mythologist and some what of an archeologist (imaigine that, a teeanged female with that knowledge), there is proof in fossils that the females fought for leaders and stuff. most mammels however do have a male leader because males USUALLY are stronger, but not always.
but praying manitises, which are very large insects also, eat males after mating (unless of course they bring the females gifts!). and black widows do the same. so beware you evil bas*ard, beware...
lol...
#118
but how smart are insects?
#119
Perhaps we can all stop being sexist and settle it down that males and females are equal. Now, let's just shut up.

That's exactly what i wanted to say in my comment.

Oh i think the intelligence of insects cannot be defined. The behaviour of the insects is mostly driven by insticts. They have no intelligence, only a good "biological program".
And as such they cannot decide who is in a higher rank (so i said a stupidity in my previous comment).
Insects mostly differ in their biological task.

And did u know that there are more than a million insect species, and when an explorer in a jungle examines a single tree he ususally find more than 100 totally new insect species. :)

But in case of humans the genres are more equal. So sexism is mainly a very stupid thing. There are only a few diferences between men and women like: usually women live longer, can concentrate on more things than men, and better at communication. Men are usually physically stronger, have larger brains, have better logics. But even these differences are just average. So there cn be a woman with better logics than men, and a man with better communication abilities than women.
