Hi having just obtained 3dsmax 6 I've uncovred the new problem of not being able to find a converter and process for getting things from warcraft files -> 3ds max 6...and back again. I have the W3file converter...and prophet's extractor...what else do I need? and where can I get it? Thx
I've heard the 3dmax 6 is too high a version for the Warcraft 3 tools....Blizzard needs to patch or release new tools for anything other then versions 4 or 5.
Dont bother, 3d studio max 6 will not work with the art tools, and the chance that they will update those tools is 0% as its not supported. There IS a way though: if you actually bought 3d studio max 6, you can ask Discreet for a downgrade patch, which turns it int 3d studio max 5, and therefore you can start right away.
And no, you cant get acces to such patch unless you legally bought the program.
