Warcraft IV or New Expansion

@oz02: That's what I thought too. I hardly see how a warcraft 4 would be made since much of the story is well revealed. Then there's the expansion which I hardly see how they would add another expansion since they've already released the battle chest set. As far as I'm concerned, WoW will probably be the last product of the Warcraft series.

A new expansion wouldnt work. The whole concept of the alliance would fail, since the Blood Elves are no longer in the Alliance. They are still in the alliance at the beginning of TFT, so they are part of the Alliance forces. But a new expansion would mean that the Blood Elf forces from the Alliance would have to be removed.

The Lich King will probably be in WoW somehow, since Illidan will be in. The story concept of WoW is already pretty thin, and Lich King have now the perfect oppertunity to anihalite his nemies in Azeroth because of the two alliances fighing eachother.

I am thinking of these last month..

someday a new expansion of warcraft might turn....
Arthas in to a Bladenaster or a Demonhunter or a Farseer. Or maybe Illidan will be resurrected and be the main character of the game.

Lol..

NOOO! They can't discontinue warcraft, that has been my favorite rts since i first laid my hands on my warcraft 1&2 battle chest!

How can some of you say there isn't much more to warcraft?? Arthas has to be annihilated or banished or something, the scourge should fall the blood elves have to make a new home somewhere, maybe, the humans need to rise up again, the orcs need to settle Durotan... the list goes on....

WoW can reveal more of the story though. Like Final Fantasy 11, the whole game is the story, it doesn't jump in the middle of a story already written, like star wars or WoW...

I wouldn't be too sure about Illidan. But you may have a point. The naga are bound to be neutral in WoW and we can assure ourselves they are probably still leaded by a powerful follower of Azshara.

Ok. One, WoW is not Warcraft 4 because A. It does not continue the storyline but lets you interacte with an already existing one B. It is not a stratagy game. Blizzard won't throw a MMO in the mix when it costs an online fee and some people (like me) don't want to have to pay every month. No, the story will continue from Warcraft 3 into a different game because I think they will keep the story in the same genre for the stratagy fans. Wouldn't be expecting it any time soon though. I don't know about a Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 either, because both games creat a threat to Blizzard's already existing (bringing in tons of mulla) games. After War 3 and WoW start to go down financial wise, that's when they'll consider a sequel to either Starcraft or Diablo.

It's a MMPORG, a multiplayer game, like in warcraft 3, perhaps there will be a campaign mode.
and WoW is four years after Tft

There probably will eventually be a WC4 because there are a lot of loose ends to tie up; The Lich King's actions now that he has bodily form again, and the fates of Maiev, Illadan, Sylvanas and their followers. Also it's possible that Khadgar's forces may still be alive on Outland/Draenor(didn't anyone else notice that they were mentioned?). Also at the end of WC3, Tyrande said that their powers over nature would wane in time and the Night Elves would become mortal, so Blizzard might do something with that. Also the Burning Legion is still out there, and demons have entered Sargeras' tomb so he might return to command the Legion again.....but of course it's all up to Blizzard.

of course, arthas isnt simply going to merge with nerzhul to simply become a powerful entity and the story doesnt end here, but the question is that if they will develop it, its known they had $$$ trouble

or mabey they wont come out with a new vesion and try to lure us away from that by releasing starcraft 2?

It's not warcraft 4 !! It is just another game...a brand new warcraft. It is not a strategy game it is an rpg game.
