You should be using 7.0 or 8.0 (my suggestion) You should export the skin via WC3 Viewer as a 32bits .tga Go to load from alpha channel (alpha channel one) under masks. Your colour palette on the right should turn white - grey - black colour. Select the part you want to alpha out with the selection tool or freehand selection tool. Using a paint brush, select the DARKEST black colour on the palette and colour the part in. Save to alpha channel and save your work. Your done.
okay i fixed the problem in photoshop but when i did what you said, insted of deleting certain parts, it just made them white in the wc3 viewer when i laoded the skin on the model. and im sure that i did what you said sice it did change to the black, grey and white colors.
wtf are you talking about photopaint. no such thing. do you man photoshop? because i have it its just that if i save any skins as a tga (opens up with photshop) it wont load and in the wc3 viewer it sez invalid value. and yes i did save it as a blp not a mdx.

WC3 Viewer reads .tga as remap texture skins and conversion .blp = image type (you can't " save as .mdx " )
Afronight_76okay my problem is that if i edit a skin with photoshop, it wont load when i convert it to a blp. if i load that skin it sez invalid value.
