how do you apply skins to a model?

how do you apply skins to a model?

I'm new at this modelling thing, so I want to know, that lets say I extract a Tauren model, now how do I chnage its skin without chning all the other Taurens in my game?

Convert it to a .MDL with WAR3 File converter (download it in our tool section) find the Textures and carefully change the paths.
