All of Cookie's models are removed, INCLUDING THE DRACOLICH

He hasn't reuploaded the NWN models, but you can find a few of them if you search through WC3C's OLD Downloads section, and a few at Hubb

I'm so sad that he deleted his creations. I was browsing his Green Dragon Lord but then I did'nt saw it. I need it badly for my campaign. So I decided to cancel my campaign which is 60% complete. I complained about it 3 weeks ago.

You mean the green dragon model of which a modified (I think) version is used as main building for Dragons in RotD? I've got it, tell me what your email is and I'll send it to you. I don't need the Dracolich, you can keep it.

Discussing about Cookie's models being sent to whom in this thread shouldn't be discussed. I think this should be locked so everyone knows the purpose of this thread.

Well, Cookie's posted another model. So I guess he sorta changed his mind about posting nothing here or something

DeadDogNoGoWoofI think Cookie was a jerk, and overreacted. Its only a website, after all. and yet, those skins did suck....there are two sides. The good modeler vs. the bad skinners, though ^ there he posted a new model, maybe he reconsidered. Well i don't think Cookie had very good reasons, but his models' rocked. Good models like those dont come along very often any more.

You guys never got the facts right:

1-Hated it because upload system (still hate it). You have to take down the existing model entry, recreate the upload , add info again etc. The forum was a better place to upload as it was in a more controllable environment.

2-Too lightly administration (People snatching stuff that republicola and me released and put it under their name, claiming its their work, and people actually believe it as well ..yes it was the Ninja model...and like after 6 months action was taken?). IMO this was the biggest thing that caused me to leave. People are too naïve to believe things as they are posted, without wondering where and how. Other example was the cannon (thoug they are old , it was mainly about the idea)

3-Too lightly with the ratings. Ratings should be removed IMO. Having people rate simple things 5 and complex things a 5 as well is just out of proportion and depressing for someone who put time and effort with it, while another guy just shamelessly uses vex animation transfer proggy and churn a non optimised geomerge without even skin alteration or optimisation.
Also related to the floodwaves of easy geomerging without any effort of optimising or skin alteration.

4-The comments section under the downloads was 95% useless, which had no real contribution to the model improvements and bug reports (havent changed as it seems). Like "OMGZ it suckz, you suck" or like "omg how you do that what tools etc?" or "how do I IMPORT THE ThiGNG HELP!". Or like, giving comments about something they have barely tested it and just assuming it is done in the same way as others.

When Stonedstoopid was fixing the dl system, I wanted a environment for quality models (or models where at least effort was put in) with a comment system with people that could like contribute to the model improvement or help the community in a bigger way (like people who actually have read and sought info about it how to import etc). Also wanted the zip files to be maintained (instead of seperate model upload/texture upload etc). Then he decided to put that part into Darky's hand, which IMO is a mess now.
Updating of model files aint working, slow system etc etc...

(which was kinda bullshit IMO. I never had any objections whoever was skinning my stuff, in fact i would encourage people to do it, as I hate doing skinning). All assumptions without ever taking the effort to look into things and just create a rumor mill. The problem was never with the unexperienced people (I had no problems with newbies, we all have to start sooner or later at a certain point. I always helped the people who show effort), but those people who never lifted a damn finger, never took the effort (or slightest), never ever took the opportunity to read a red text better (a case with a guy bugging Darky about the corrupt zips, while it was clearly stated in red what was going on!) or just shamelessly take things without mentioning its source, or just claiming that as for themselves (and those people who KEEP protecting that guy even after it was stated that the posted had snatched the model) ]

One of the reasons I took them down were people like you. Clueless and assuming every thing that was stated here is true, withut taking the effort to check whats realy going on....shees....Reminds me of that ninja issue, all saying that me and reps were the bad guys and took the model ....

Seriously, I can easily take that thing down again just because of you, and thats not an overreaction, but just my point of view which everyone is entitled to do with their own resources.

yes i agree no one actually gives advice on how to improve it, just sayign what they think like it sucks, or i love it! and the rating system is too easy i actually got 5/5 for some of my models *gasp*, but i still like the wc3sear environment as opposed to wc3campaigns as the environment is much more friendly

well, a geomerge properly done with sometimes a new skin, and maybe a couple other geomerges, some UV editing, can turn out to be a good model

lol you would DEFINATELY know. I just searched for tauren in the models section....heh...you would definately know about geomerges.

Seeing how Cookie is back and posting material, I'm going to un-sticky this.
