Spell Color

Im currently working on a custom spell that uses Finger of the Death as base, how can i change the color of the lightning to Purple, Green or Black(or whatever!)

not possible.

you could only change it so that is looks like the chainlighting or like healing wave but you cant change the color it self

I doubt it Raven. If you know something... But I didn't find them as BLPs or soemthing or even MDXs/MDLs. They are soemthing different. I tried a lot to change them but... It's impossible.

Patch 1.17 seems able to have custom lightning colors, anyways lightning effects don't use models, just a skind, the skin for finger of death is probable Textures\zap_red.blp or something like that.

You can have custom lightning effects by just changin the lightning effects slk

u have to chance the texture of the lightning effect, or make a "new" lightning any where in a file in the war3patch-file and add it to your map... maby there are some coulour-textures u could use
