What kinda map is fun to play on a 8 players LAN

what kind of aa map is fun to play on a 8 player LAN? Tower Defense? Castle Defense? Melee?? or what?

ToB is really fun on LANs because there really is some teamwork. And 8 players is almost full house.

what is dota and ToB?

Simply type "dota" in the map-sections search-function, you'll find a lot of maps to test it. If you play WC3 on a LAN, I would recommend any team-based custom game, melee games are not good for LAN's imo, except all players having the same skill. The problem with RTS-games is that if someone is defeated, he has to wait till the others finished the game.

ToB is Tides of Blood, an AOS type custom map. Go to www.tidesofblood.com for info and the map dl.
DotA is also an AOS type custom map, but it's very different from ToB, it focuses on adding damage with items and using your physical attack to kill a lot while ToB is more focused on teamwork and efficient use of your hero's skills.
