Trying? omg, WC3 Viewer is self-explaining. btw you don't "get" units in the viewer, you "get" models/skins in the viewer. if you started wc3-viewer, look to the right corner, perhaps you see sth like a list.
wc3 viewer allows you to load models for a mpq ( default ) or to load your model from an outside source.. and when you pick a model from the mpq, you can instantly apply the skin you made for a quick preview by pressing Ctrl+M to open up the active files, you change heroblademaster.blp ( or wahtever is your skin's name ) by the skin you made, it can have any name.
of course, before pressing ctrl+m, select your model in the treepath, if you dont know where it is, then seek, i wont awnser a such easy question unless for money
*sigh* okay the thing about what the viewer sez means that it is en excellent way to extract models or skins. but you can make a model from 3dsmax or 3d canvas, you can also use milkshape. but its harder than you think.
i dont get it... And when i press ctrl+M i can only load WV3 files. And i dont have any models to aply the skin on... i want to aply it to normal units. If someone could tell hme how to do in a step-to-step "guide" it would be easier.
