How do I have a critical strike upgrade its percentage to critical when the hero obtains an item? It is kind of like DotA's Aghanim's Scepter.

make a custom engeneering upgrade item ability that works for ur critical strike
(I think that should work but I never tried so sry if it doesnt )

Actually it should, as I know as well. Ok, go to Neutral Hostile, Hero skills and search for Goblin Tinker's Engineering Upgrade skill. As you know, it upgrades skills. Well, you can change this ability so it affects only Critical Strike and make additional critical strikes. I don't really know how you can do this so check the Goblin Tinker's skills. Make the Engineering skill an Item skill and use it to enchance your item with. Hope this helped you more.

Yeah, that made it clearer. I did that but it still doesn't work. I made 2 different skills, one hero skill that has 5% chance and an item skill that has 7% for the item. I have a suffix so I know it's not wrong, and it doesn't work because the upgraded one has a different tool tip.

Ok... you got it all wrong. I understand you made for the item a Critical Strike?? Or did you make the engineering Upgrade? Also, give them the same tooltip. Ok, since it doesn't seem to work I will help you more detailed after I finish the spells for hte contest. Until then check the Goblin Tinker's skills again, it may help.

I made an item spell that goes along with the item that upgrades critical strike. So do I select the same critical strike that I WANT upgraded or do I make a whole new one that has the 7%?

here is what u do:
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT give the item crittal strike.
instead give the item the enginnering upgrade and give the hero the regular spell.
then set the enginnering upgrade to upgrade the regular spell into the upgrade spell.easy
