now is it just me, or is there a lycos side search thingy behind the site? because lately when i come to visit this site, this sidesearch comes up on the screen. If damn annoying!

Sounds like you have a virus that installed that sidesearch thing onto your computer

Uninstall it, and run through your computer with a few virus and spyware/adware checkers

Its adware and spyware like Mecheon said, get ad-aware or others to destroy them.

usually that means that your computer has lycos sidesearch on it. just go to control panel/add and remove programs. scroll down until you find it and click remove/change (or just remove sometimes)

I usually run this program to get rid of the stupid spywares trying to make my life a hell.
Anyway you can even search for words in ur files like "gator", "advertising", "lycos" (without quotes of course) and delete the scum. But if you don't feel like an advanced user then forget this (oh and do not delete things like naviGATOR )
