Solutions:

1. Try converting the skin to 24bits and converting it to a .blp with a opaque alpha channel added with WC3 Viewer (download in tool section, use for convert too).

2. Remember BTN in front of your icon's name.

3. Re-open your map, saving the changes.

quick question

I have a quick question, I'm having the EXACT same problem he was, and what program(s) did you have him use to make the icons work? just a little curious... because I made like 20 icons by chaning a 24 bit bmp into a tga using irfanview, and then into a blp and it doesn't show up in wc3 editor or ingame tests :S

*your icon* > Convert to 24bit .tga with Irfanview > Convert to .blp with added opaque alpha channel with WC3 Viewer > Import > Apply icon and re-open map = EUREKA!

oops, one more very important thing.
Icons have paths, unless you want a ugly green version of the icon come.

RepleaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTN*iconname*.blp < no .blp ending if the icon is .tga and .blp if it is .blp

RepleaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTN*iconnamedisabled version*.blp < same thing. Make sure the disabled icon version addresses to the main icon for a disabled version.
