How do I make units look ethereal?

I want to make a unit look constantly ethereal, without a special model. I think you can do it with 'Banish' but im not sure. Please Help.

Make it etheral. Otherwise, when the unit is spawned, give it sphere with the banish buff, turn it greenish with transparency with Animation- Change vertex coloring

I believe that the Banish buff is just the swirling green-and-blackish stuff, and that the ethereal appearance is a special characteristic of the spell.

I tried to do this as well, using a combination of the banish art and the Animation - Change vertex colouring command, but it didn't seem to work. (i can never get that action to work for some reason! )

If you have any success turning your unit ethereal, please tell me?
Thanks,
Bort

I made a spell off of Banish, and it looked really cool, so I wanted to have a unit who looked like that. I tryed giving the unit an ability with Banish as the Target Art, but as Panto said, it was just the swirly black and green stuff, which is still cool. Sorry, no luck.

Isn't there just an "Ethereal" ability, under Night Elf unit abilities, or something like that? Find out what that does.

Sweetness!

Panto is right, there is a Night Elf Ability called Ethereal. I gave it to an archer and it looked ethereal, couldn't attack and couldn't take damage.

BTW, no wierd swirling black n' green stuff either.
