anywhere i can get a tool for editing icons?

You can do it with a image editing program. They are capable of skinning/creating/ " editing " icons.
Finds loads on www.download.com
Go for Image Editing category. There are loads there. I'd recommend Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop but they are not free, so its a trial.
