Just Wondering about skins

is there a way so that a skin dosent replace the original,
so i can have a orignial footman,
and a dark footman as two different units,
can i change skins into models,
answer for the good of mankind,

also, none of the downloads on this site have paths, i keep guesing and only 50% are correct

yes i think there is a way

i beleive you have to copy the model not that sure though.
