icon questions/conversion

Was trying to add these icons as replacements in a map im making, I made them in photoshop but they only show up as a green box in-game, They were .tga's I just renamed them to .blp (do they have to be converted to .blp files or can they just be re-named?)

I have planned to make 6 weapon icons, in a certain fashion, small axes, medium axes, and large axes - these were basicly just test icons to see if I could get it to work

lol, obviously converted to .blp not " renamed "

.tga do work, but must not be " renamed " into .blp.
They must be 24bits, they DON'T have to be .blp all the time. (use irfanview to convert the .tga to 24bits)

Also, WE must have some time to recognise the icon. A restart will do.

Ask if you still have questions :)

I have no idea what you mean Sopho, but you need to convert the tga into blp which you can do with a program like the wc3viewer.

lol, its for him to know, it may sound weird but it is true.

Eh?

I actually got it to work as a .tga 24 bit file (as an item) without the prefix BTN before it, but when I open the menu (to quit) I assume it needs a disabled icon for that, does the prefix apply to items as well?

Yes, disabled icons, passive icons, autocast etc are all icons so 24bits .tga for them would be fine.

Yep, I told you

In WE you go to:

Advanced > Game Interface > Icon - gold
