Once you have placed the doodad, select it and hit Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDown to change its elevation.

I'm interested how you got the Z real to stretch it past 120

In the doodad and destructible tabs of the object editor you can set the minimum and maximum stretch values for the object.

I if you also selcet a doodads, and hold down Ctrl and use 8-4-2-6 right on the keybord, you can move a doodads close to another, very use full...
