Making new models!

I am making a new custom map which requires all new models for the characters. I am a novice 3D Studios Max 6.0 user. Is there a better program to design models for WC3? or should I try to master 3DS Max?
Any help might get you a shout out on the map.

That sounds very challenging and difficult. I wish you BEST of luck if you think you are capable of it. 3D Max is the best modelling program.
