Turns pink when i convert to blp? This is what it originally looks like.

What tool did you use to convert the icon into .blp?
You should have used
WC3 Viewer , which is downloadable in the tool section. To convert the icon into .blp.

Yea, i used that but now when I try to open a tga file with it it says *blah*.tga has an unsupported compression
and no ddin't rename it i saved it as tga.

Try a 24bit .tga for your icon import. Irfanview can that do that.
