hello. I have been patiently waiting for a reply to a post I made several days ago. I did receive one but it didnt give me enough information like I had asked. Perhaps the editor is alot differnt after patches and TFT. All I have is the first editor from ROC.
I can not get on Battlenet to do the patches because it says there is cd key problem and mine is incorrect. So I cant do the patches. It is a legal copy of the game. It was bought by me and I never gave out my cdkey. so I dont know whats happening there.
My biggest issue is that I do not understand the process up setting up researchable upgrades for towers. Please Read my other post and try an explain how this is done. Thank you.
is that all you do on roc still... i remember a few months ago when all i had was roc, everyone either played snipers/paint ball or td's... and of course the losers game: dota

I could use some help from someone who knows what they are talking about and isnt going to insinuate that thier something special.
Researches designed for units (i.e. range/damage/HP upgrades) don`t seem to work for towers or any other structures. I tried them before and never got them to function properly. I would suggest using the traditional individuial tower upgrades (i.e. upgrading to a new tower through ``upgrades to (unit)`` fuction in the object editor. -VGsatomi
Ok Ive heard about the whole "Upgrades To" over and over and over. I have been unable to find it anywhere in the editor. As it turns out the "Upgrades to" option didnt come about untill the 1.16 patch. Explaining why I could never find it. I did that download and guess what. It wont install the patch due to registration malfunctions. Errr it just never ends. I cant reinstall warcraft cause my cd is scratch all to hell by the kids. Looks like Im buying it again tonight. - sigh -
that is probably the best option, i'm not really sure, for i have never worked with the RoC editor, but there should be simply a field 'upgrades to' in the object editor. I don't know with what patch it came, but 1.17 has already been released. Keep the cd up somewhere high, so the kids can't get to it
