Hero Spell Path Based on Spell Book: Is it Possible?

Ive got a weird idea, say we take the ability "Spell Book" (which i dont know how to make) from an item and give it 1 ability Called "Holy Path" we then make an identicle ability but give it "Evil Path" and then if they select "Holy Path" they get another set of choices like "healing" "anti-evil" and such, but is this possible? If so, we can change WC:3 ENTIRELY, but if its not, we tried.

Sorry to break it to you, but this has been done before in several different ways. :(

Oh well...
Could you give me a link?

So you are saying you have a spellbook ability on a hero with dark and light side, when you select one, the whole selection disappears and you get those moves, or two levels of spellbook?

The first one is the closest.
Ok it means Hero can at first choose good or evil, then gets a choice between magic and combat.

And going farther in you can choose 2 different things from holy combat, either Paladin (strong hero, mostly spirit stuff(eg:Roar,Healing Wave,Auras)) and then Crusader (Same as paladin exept has Heal, Exorcisim, Anti-Dead Aura and Reincarnation)

Actually I am working on an even more complex model, the tech-tree spell system, with four different aspects. Having certain spells restricts the availability of some others to a Hero. Spell teching is also implemented. Will be fun!

Yah, im doing this in my secret project you can either be berserker or a shamanistic warrior, but the tech-tree sounds cool.

Secret project? Well, good luck! I can't wait to see it.
