How do you make unit corpses?

How do you make a unit's corpse appear, such as a doodad? For example, I want to make a dead villager who's body doesn't decay. How do I do that?

Easy

This one is an easy one. To do this you would make a custom unit (probabbly bassed off of the actuall villager) You can name him villager or dont decay due or whatever you want. Now, theres an option on the editor that allows you to choose the decay type of the unit.
All you have to do is change it to does not decay, wich is an option and BAM you have a permanent dead dude, assuming he's dead...

Thanks!

I assume this works for all units?

Everyone who you make has the option to not decay, yes.

Not important, but it dont work with units that leave no corpse, like whisps and so on.

Actually, theres a way around that, If you open up the model files inside of a warcraft viewer or even microsoft excell you can find the directory of the dead animation and delete it, or go to the editor and just change it so he dosnt have one. This will make the living animation be replaced wit hthe dead animation :) The same thing happens if you have a unit that dosn't have a death animation, all you see is the unit standing there nto ding anything. You can even move thru it. So there you go dude, anything in the game can stay.... dead.
