Will this cause lag?

ok for my farmers and hunters map im gonna make a very thick forest, but i dont know how thick i should make it before it will lag... heres a screenshot

the entire map is like that (i just added like 120 bushes w/o pathing that look good) im just wondering if it will lag...

It will lag when the map is starting... once it starts going, the lag will clear.

To solve this, trigger a "waiting period". Ask pro-triggerers for more on this.

Doesn't that optimize it by hiding all the Trees and stuff so you can quickly spawn them when the game starts?

A waiting perioed is nothing more then a cinimatic black screen to prevent the usual game ``hiccup`` at the begginning after the laod screen dissapears. Doodads, as long as they don`t have a lot of special effects (i.e. sun wells, fires) will not cause lag. I created a max-sized forest map with maxed out doodads (mainly trees, bushes, logs, rocks, mushrooms, ect) and it doesnt lag one bit. But maps that have even a dozen or so fires clumped togather will lag very noticibly.

thx VGsatomi, i am at 2x the limit, using WEU to disable the limit though. 'perioed' thats like the first typo i have ever seen you make 8)
when i get to testing, if it lags ill try the 'waiting period'... if not this thread was useless ;)

Even with the limits turned off, it should not be a prblem as long as you don`t use too many of the doodads in the cinimatic catagory.
