I have this fear, a great fear, not a phobia, but you can't say a fear either, I'm just shy. I see tonnes of people post their pictures, so I don't know if I should or not, I have this reputation on MSNM to not show my face, I usually show a part of my torso, or my belly button-like area. I had never shown my face on the internet or in a picture, I have this fear which I might look ugly, though my friends and family say "That's a lie, you have a wonderful face" than again I knew I wasn't deformed or HIDEOUS to the point I was shunned from society, I know my torso/belly-button-like-area is good looking, because I work out when I don't go to work or do work (Artist) and when I am too bored to read or go on the PC. Answer me this, should I show my picture, Or change my Evil-Flesh-Eatting clown to one of my many torso shots?

Iono, if you dont want ppl seein your pic, then you proly shouldnt, but maybe if you do start showing face pics and stuff, maybe you wont be shy anymore,
btw I got the same problem in public, I think my smile is ugly, and I dont smile at school or in the public, well I do but I hide my smile

Well your real face can`t be any uglier then the one in your avatar, so I say go ahead and show it (unless that really is you in your avatar, then I bow and appologize deeply for my rude words )

The real question should be, as to whether or not you should care about the opinion of people you meet on the internet, regarding your physical appearance.

I've posted my picture once. I was judged as "the broken line between genius and insanity". Nuff said.

just post it, a face is something public, so i dont understand your fear.
please note everyone ranging from rich kiddies to depressed everquest servants goes on the internet.
this is not a meeting or a dating place, so i dont really mind anyone's appaerance

From what I know, people who are afraid to show their face because (they say so), they consider theirselves ugly, are actually looking normal if not good. So I wouldn't be ashame if I were you. Go into the "Pictures of yourself" thread and post one. As long as you are Wormskull, you won't get more than two comments, and even those neutral, or positive ones.

@Kerrigan - well, I for one, is led to believe you kindda liked the attention Anyways, you forget that different people has different taste, and that there are even those who find you sexier with the "whiplash" look and the blackrose - another arguement against the fear of intolerance of ones appearance
