Better replace the rank between 1 and 5 to 0 and 100, oh, and also add an edit rating feature? (so if you accidentally gave XX to somebody you could change it?)
Vex, you basically say that you have an option between 0 and 100%? Pretty many choices... As for the edit vote, I agree with it. I once accidently gave a 3, though I wanted to give a 5. And I really loved that model...
Though this may not be possible how bout a text box for the rating system out of 100 So that you have to write in a grade instead of being confined to a 5 point scale
Also i've been seeing good models get bad ratings, so is it possible for mods rating to count as two or more people so that mods give a more appropiate rating to an underrated or overrated peicve of art Or possibly be two ratings, Peer and Mod Ratings
So: 1) Text box Rating system 2a) Mods have more input on rating 2b) Seperation of Peer and Mod Rating
I agree we need a higher rating gap, otherwise if someone votes 1 but everyone else votes 5 they can only get to about 4.5 but if its 10 they can get much higher like 9.9 =0

I also thought about that, an text box would be good.[/quote]
Well I thing 100% would be fine, but 10 wouldn't kill me, I only feel that way too much resources get 5/5 , I don't think that is healthy, at the end the resources that have name starting with A appear at top rated.
A ten rating would be a lot better because there would be a ditsinguishment between something that is horrible, but has some good parts, compared to downright horrible.
For example, we rate something a 1 but would rather give it a 2. There should also be a 0 rating, but to discourage downvoting, the resource has to have under a 2 rating.
If anything, a 1-10 rating scale may be more efficient. As it is now, materials can only be given 20%,40%,60%,80% and 100%. (i.e.1-5) Sometimes I feel a map may deserve more then 80% but less then 100%.
And yes, a fully agree with being able to change your ratings. Accidents to happen and its a shame for a rating to suffer because of it. -VGsatomi

I'm for a 100-point scale. A 10-point scale is too prohibitive. Btw, this is essentially the same idea as my "Voting Slider". We really need more precision to rate the resources.
