two Important things when u are goin to shade: Use time and Use Dodge and Burn, else you should use some different "grade" of the color ur shading too..

You had some talent, but it wasn't applied correctly, halo. Oh yes. In the screenshot, the marine would look better if you gave the shoulderpads a little shine to make it look as realistic as the frikkin skin can be, which I blame the wc3 engine for.
yes is really in need of shading and defining. but dont make those lines too thick and dark. also add lighting. burn and dodge are an excellent method of making metallic effects. you also need to make it a bit tectured instead of completely smooth and flat. try blending a bit more colors within the skin.
