im using tga and about when u rename the files "loadingscreenTL.BLP" do i changethe BLP to TGA? and also about the Monolith Map Exporting The Loadingscreen MDX file do i import in my map to? because you never mentioned that in your tutorial. plz respond! :)
#33
We " rename " the loading screen parts after they are in BLP (convert the .tga to .blp with WC3 Viewer) DON'T rename the .tga to something ending with BLP because it isnt right.

The loading screen MDX does not need a path. Just export it anywhere, you just need to import it into your map thats all.

Uhh just wondering...

Whats the process for the minimap picture?

And is it anything the same?
#35
This is the custom loading screen tutorial...
#36

Well yea...

Well duh, Im not that dense its just the closest thing to a minimap picture... Since there is no minimap tutorials...

And then you kind of got in to making minimap picture ((For some guy when he requested a background))... So since you knew I just presumed this would be the best to ask for one

:? Maybe that can be your next tutorial

what is a wc3 viewer?
#38
@Rogan? That has been asked many times before. Try searching the Maps forum and you'll find your answer.

@frOg man: It's a tool. You can download it in the Tools section of this site.

Meh, fine. I'll do a tutorial on how to do custom minimap pictures and custom preview images. Anything else hmmm?
#40
i dont know what u mean by 32 bits? does that mean i change the quality on the WC3 Viewer to 32??
#41
bits mean the colour resolution power for an image format. 32bits is higher than 24, for example. WC3 Viewer can do that via conversions.
#42
Any idea how to do the custom loading screens like Final Fantasy Open RPG or SWAT: Aftermath?

Where you can see the players loaded and you can put text on the screen.
#43
Simple. Skin the normal loading screen, just find it through browsing your MPQ with WC3 Viewer (download in tool section)

Its nearly the same thing actually.

So... wheres the minimap custom tutorial and my loading screen worked but it seems it stopped working now... what happended?
#45
Those tutorials are not needed... its purely simple to do those. I was about to submit it, but it would just make me look bad because of how basic it is. Just go to the maps forum and ask how to do it there or search for it there.

You might have accidently deleted a Custom Loading Screen file in the import manager or changed its path. Or, your map got corrupted.
