Making a Statue?

How does one go about making a statue out of a model? I've seen the dwarf model, the paladin model, and recently the treant model. How does someone freeze an animation....so yea... :P

Errr... can't you just remove their stand animations and everything else? Then geomerge?

I would think that too. however, if you'll notice the paladin statue was of the paladin in mid victory stance

Yo. You're talking about my model there, so don't mine me peeking in.

To make a statue, merge the geosets of a unit with Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Editor.

Then, when the model's pieces are merged together, including that which should usually have the teamcolor, choose Save As -> Geoset.

Save another geoset as your statue "base".

Using Oinkerwinkle's Geoset Merger, merge your base and statue.

Using the Vertex Editor again, rotate, move, twist 'n turn your statue into the position you want. I didnt actually "freeze" the Paladin in his stand-victory animation.. I just moved him into a position that resembles it.

Finally, reskin for the stony feel. Try to make the skin's color as much resemble the statue's base.

That's all! I personally suggest a Dryad statue to practice on. Yup.
