River Help

This is driving me insane! The rivers on my map have ramps but the ramps look like shit. they have that irritating 2-d apearance and the black hole in the ramp. I want all of my map to have smooth ramps because these ramps and making my map extremely trashy. Help would by very much appreciated.

What videocart do you have, If good try clicking it some more times this will set another form, maybe that helps.
If not than there is no proper solution to it.

I tried. Is the only way to have smooth ramps throughout is to raise the water level befor you start? if so, please find out an alternate root b/c im really far into the map and dont want to start over.

Well there is no other thing as far as I can see.

Ramps are finicky. You need to leave a little space on either side of the ramp before the cliffs on either side turn off in order for it to work correctly. If you play with the arrangement of your cliffs a tiny bit, you ought to be able to get it to work well.

you also can put a doodad on the black area. but that's a noob solution.

noob solution for the win, i use that all the time, looks good.

you can modify the cliff level of a map in the advanced options menu... i think....

but ramps/cliffs are very finiky... takes ages to get them working properly/looking good

You could create a larger area of water, then create the banks, then ramp those to the rest of the map.

how about a picture so we can help you abit?

Actually, sometimes ramps are so screwy they have to be redone, by going over in a Same evel brush over the river and redoing the ramps. Sometimes they conflict and it screws up BADLY
