Trigger Action with Custom Spells

Is it possible to use custom spells in a trigger? For example, how would I tell a Hero to cast a spell I made up?

well, i assume you based your custom spell off another spell.

Lets say you used frost nova, and changed it into something you like better. When you want to trigger your hero to use it, use the trigger 'unit - issue order targeting a unit - Undead lich - frost nova'
