How to make Models and Skins

Hello i am new here and i was wondering if there was anyone out there who can tell me how to make a model and skin w/o using 3ds Max.

I COULD tell you, but instead I'll just tell you to LOOK IN EVERY SINGLE FREAKEN TOPIC IN THE FORUM UNTIL YOU FIND THAT GMAX TUTORIAL

And of corse a link to where to get Gmax as well
